At the Attalla Fire Department, our firefighters are highly trained in all aspects of emergency response, including fire suppression, emergency medical care, rescue operations, hazardous materials incidents, and disaster response. Every member of our team is committed to delivering high quality service with professionalism, compassion, and respect.

We stand ready around the clock, responding not only to emergencies but also working proactively to prevent them through public education, fire prevention efforts, and community outreach. Our mission goes beyond the call. We aim to strengthen the safety and resilience of Attalla through trust, transparency, and service.

The Team Behind the Response

The Attalla Fire Department is composed of a dedicated team of professionals, from firefighters and officers to command staff. Our department includes cross-trained firefighter/EMTs and paramedics, apparatus operators, and officers who lead with experience and integrity. Together, we operate a modern fleet of fire and rescue apparatus and maintain a high state of readiness for any emergency that may arise.

The department operates out of three fire stations. Two stations are staffed full-time, providing rapid response coverage across the city. The third station houses a reserve fire engine and serves as the base for A-Med Ambulance Service, supporting additional emergency medical needs within our coverage area.
